Genre: Contemporary YA

Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Publishing Date: April 15, 2014

Goodreads Description:

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

MY RATE: 5/5 STARS

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK: When I think about this book I think about Peter and when I think about Peter I think that... PETER IS NOW MY SPIDERMAN. I loved the book from the beginning but when I saw the spider-man scene I knew that we weren't going to break up anytime soon. If only something like that could happen to me.. *sighs*

As I write this review I might a little bit like this...

sad crying robin ice cream

Nope I'm not crying, I just got ice cream on my face which turns out to be like tears!

Why can't these type of fairytale moments happen in real life?

I totally love this book and I tried extremely hard to find at least one flaw in it yet I couldn't so I gave it 5 stars which is really rare from me!

The only problem I had with this book was that I read it as a e-book and when I adore a book I must have the physical copy! So in the end, this book was freaking PERFECT!

IN MY OPINION this is the best funny contemporary I have read since Paper Towns by John Green!
Jenny Han keep up the great work!

WOULD I READ THE SEQUEL?

 P.S. I still Love You.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that I WILL read it!! Its going to be in my next book shopping spree!!!

WHO DO I SHIP?!

Lara Jean+ Peter = Leter... !!!

paranoid meet the robinsons coincidence

So if you decided on reading this book you can

I hope you enjoyed this!

And be prepared for my soon to be posted idea!!!

THE STRUGGLE OF BEING A TEEN READER

When it comes to reading people assume that only the stereotypical nerd do it but the truth is that they got it all wrong.
If I was in a stereotype I would probably be the shy one (if there is one like that) yet I know I don't fit in into any type of category because I am divergent.
and most "nerds" don't like to read, I know this guy who is an A average student yet they despise reading to a molecular level. Me, being an A and B average student adore reading so much that if I die while reading a book my life will be complete. So to get this straight you do not have to be a nerd to enjoy the magic of words on paper.
Now that that is out of the way lets get into this!

#1  The famous yet intolerable question that I dread:
 "Why do you read?"

                                                     tv star trek facepalm worf

The first thought that always comes up is:

"So I don't ask stupid questions like you seaweed brain!"

But of course I don't say that because I am clearly shy. So instead I just want to say:

"Why do you breath?"

But that is very rude. so later I just end up saying something like:

"Because it allows me to travel to a million places while being in my bedroom or the couch."

Yet every time I say something like that people give a look that could kill crazy people or something.

#2 Staying home on a Friday night
while the whole school is out.

friends reading chandler bing pay attention paying attention

I tend to stay home as frequent as possible because the only thing I enjoy more than eating nutella on a Friday night while watching Netflix is eating nutella on a Friday night while reading a good book.

#3 Needing to buy the next book on a series
but you can't because you're broke.

                                                        man ok okay happens broke

I know every teen has gone through this at least once in their life! So don't lie!

I suffer from this every day of my life, then I have to desperately earn the money to buy the book. I've searched everywhere yet it seems like no one hires unexperienced teens to work for them. (I wonder why?!). So I end up earning it the hard way, by cleaning the house.

#4 Mourning over a fictional character

sad john green the fault in our stars help me augustus waters

Whenever a fictional character that I love dies, I instantly go into this shell where I look sad as if a family member died because it does feel like that. It feels like something important to you was ripped from your soul without anesthesia.

Yet whenever someone asks me why I look so sad and I tell them the truth they take small steps away from me as if I will rip their eyeballs out yet in a way I guess I do get a glint of madness.
So if anyone is in need for me to explain why I don't interact with muggles then I hope this is enough.
Maybe I do need to go to a asylum.

#5 Being told that you read too much

book books reading icarly the more you know

Whenever someone has the audacity of telling me that I read too much another string holding my sanity together snaps. That is like asking someone if they like to breath. Of course they do! If they don't, how do they survive life. Moments like that make me want to just move across the world, buy a library and cuddle up with books. Am I the only one who is willing to do so?

I've gone through every one of this to a point where it annoys me, which will always leave wondering why this planet is full of illiterate pansycakes.

This is different from what I usually do, I hope you enjoyed it
If you did please leave a comment below.

I think I will be posting every Friday and Sunday.

BREAKWAY BY KAT SPEARS

Source: Netgalley
Genre: Contemporary YA
Published Date: September 15,2015

Goodreads Description:

From Kat Spears, author of Sway, comes a new novel that asks the question: when a group of four best friends begin to drift apart, what will it take to bring them back together?

When Jason Marshall's younger sister dies, he knows he can count on his three best friends and soccer teammates — Mario, Jordie, and Chick — to be there for him. With a grief-crippled mother and a father who's not in the picture, he needs them more than ever. But when Mario starts hanging out with a rough group of friends and Jordie finally lands the girl of his dreams, Jason is left to fend for himself while maintaining a strained relationship with troubled and quiet Chick. Then Jason meets Raine, a girl he thinks is out of his league but who sees him for everything he wants to be, and he finds himself pulled between building a healthy and stable relationship with a girl he might be falling in love with, grieving for his sister, and trying to hold onto the friendships he has always relied on.

A witty and emotionally moving tale of friendship, first love, and loss, Breakaway is Kat Spears at her finest.

MY RATE: 3.5/5 stars

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:
I totally loved the new perspective in which it is told. It varies from the normal and usual where the girl is the one that does everything, In this book we get to explore an new and different point of view from the regular.
WHAT DID I DISLIKE YOU MAY ASK? I just don't get why authors that are writing a stand alone novel decide to leave with so many unanswered questions?!?!??!\

WHO DO I SHIP?  Raine+Jason= Rason? They are so freaking cute!!!!!!!1 LIke goals!!

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING BY NICOLA YOON

Publishing Date: September 1, 2015
Source: I got a ARC via Netgalley
Genre: Contemporary YA

Goodreads description:

This innovative, heartfelt debut novel tells the story of a girl who’s literally allergic to the outside world. When a new family moves in next door, she begins a complicated romance that challenges everything she’s ever known. The narrative unfolds via vignettes, diary entries, texts, charts, lists, illustrations, and more.

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

This following drawing is part of my new idea. For most of my book reviews I will draw something that in my opinion represents this book, this is what i thought would do it:

MY RATE: 4.7 out of 5

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:
If I could say that I loved this book, it would be an understatement. The typical story of the good girl falling in love with the bad boy never takes a turn when suddenly the girl can't get out of the house at all.
I completely loved this book and its darker side! It shows you that life is not perfect in the most unforgettable way. I have a list that I write down at the end of the year of my top 25 and believe me, this one will make the cut!

I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO LOVES:
-contemporary novels
- bad boy meets good girl

MADDY AND OLLIE, DO I SHIP? OF COURSE I FREAKING SHIP THEM!!! IF THEY DARE TO SINK I WILL HUNT THEM DOWN AND GLUE THEM TOGETHER IF I HAVE TO!!!!

Now that I am done with my dramatics I need to say that I have a new idea for this blog!! I'm not sure when I will start it but I know it will be soon.

Goodreads Description:

A young woman awakes trapped in an enclosed space. She has no idea who she is or how she got there. With only her instincts to guide her, she escapes her own confinement—and finds she’s not alone. She frees the others in the room and leads them into a corridor filled with the remains of a war long past. The farther these survivors travel, the worse are the horrors they confront. And as they slowly come to understand what this prison is, they realize that the worst and strangest possibilities they could have imagined don’t even come close to the truth.

MY RATE: 4.7 out of 5 stars

MY OPINION AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:

If I was told to write a list of my favorite heroines, I know that M. Savage will be in my top ten!! Believe me when I tell you that I have read a looooooooooot of books where the main character is a pretty cool heroine.  Those are the best type of books because they let girls, specifically, know that you don't need a guy to be your savior.
Now that I finish with that very intense and deep comment I have afew things to say.

Imagine waking up from what seems like a deep sleep and then notice that you are IN A FREAKING COFFIN!!! I am telling you right now that this book will give you the feels all the way and will get you hooked the second you open it!!!

But I'm going to tell you this book will hit you right in the feels like

BLOOD MOON BY TERI HARMAN

Series: The Moonlight Trilogy #1
Pages: 350
Published Date: June 22, 2013
Source: I was sent a review copy.

Goodreads Description:

Willa dreams of true events and her best friend is a ghost. Simon can heal any wound with a touch and senses others’ emotions, intentions. All their lives they’ve felt alone in their bizarre abilities. The night Simon walks into the Twelve Acres Diner and meets Willa face to face, in a swirl of electric heat, they are bound to one another and glimpse the magic of who they are.

Across town a witch is held prisoner in the derelict basement of an old Victorian house. One night as it rains, she dares to reach her filthy, scarred hand out the window. Willa, walking home from work, recognizes the pathetic hand from a recent, terrible dream.

After a daring rescue of the witch, Willa and Simon are catapulted into the alluring but dangerous world of witchcraft and the magic of The Six Gifts. Answers to all their questions are within reach, but they’ve stepped into the middle of a deadly fight for the Powers of the Earth. Do they stay, risk their lives on the promise of power, or walk away?

Teri Harman's groundbreaking debut novel, the first installment in The Moonlight Trilogy, completely reinvents the modern concept of witches and magic. With its authentic translation of the history of witches into a fresh and entertaining package with unprecedented characterization, Blood Moon is sure to capture readers from the first page.

MY RATE: 3.9 out of 5 stars

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:
Problem? What do authors have with not clarifying in wHaT point of view it is in?!
Likes?
I completely love Willa's character! Ever since I started reading it I fell in love with the character! I mean in a completely platonic way.
I completely felt connected in here and her hobbies and everything.
The way it was all expressed was SOOOOO  awesome!

I loved that they clarified in the first pages the different types of witches that existed instead of making me need to look for a specific page and then waste 20 minutes looking for a page to just read one paragraph.
Simon was so sweet and nice! I ended up thinking that I don't want a Romeo anymore than I currently do. ( I will explain in a soon to be posted post)

MY SHIP? Willa + Simon = Silla? Wimon?
PROBLEM WITH THIS SHIP? I don't want a easy relationship! I want a relationship that seems real and has ups and downs!  One where makes me angry but in the end makes me feel so happy that they end up together!

I RECCOMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO:
A) Likes Beautiful Creatures
B)Loves books with witches
C)Is looking for an inbetween book (aka the type of book you read after a heartbreaking book)

MATERIAL GIRLS BY ELAINE DIMOPOULOS

Product Details
Pages: 336 pages

Published Date: May 5th, 2015

Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian Novel

Source: I received a review copy.

Goodreads Description:

In Marla Klein and Ivy Wilde’s world, teens are the gatekeepers of culture. A top fashion label employs sixteen-year-old Marla to dictate hot new clothing trends, while Ivy, a teen pop star, popularizes the garments that Marla approves. Both girls are pawns in a calculated but seductive system of corporate control, and both begin to question their world’s aggressive levels of consumption. Will their new “eco-chic” trend subversively resist and overturn the industry that controls every part of their lives?
MY RATE: 3.9 out of 5

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:
I really, really think that this was a very good idea for a book!
I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the confusion it caused me transitioning from points of views,
This is like a type of project runway where fashion is everything.
and by everything I mean everything.
You have to keep up with the trends and if you don't you are a obsoloser. It alters between the points of view of Marla and Ivy (starting with Marla in 1st person point of view and followed by Ivy with 3rd person point of view.) and it shows the life of two different yet alike characters.

This book made me change my perspective in a lot of things, it also reminded me that a lot of people have lives where it isn't all rainbows and butterflies. This is a book that has changed me so much even if I only read it for a while. I did not expect Ivy's ending at all!!

COMPLETELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO:
A) LOVES FASHION
B) IS INTO DYSTOPIAN

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"Oh and Eva" he said quickly.
"No matter what they tell you...
   you always have a choice."

Now that I finished this book
 I will never read again.

As they delve deeper into the Skojare world, they begin to unravel a long-hidden secret. The dark truth about her own beloved Kanin kingdom is about to come to light, and it will change her place in it forever…and threaten everyone she loves.

MY RATE: 4.5 stars out of 5

MY OPINION AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:
Ever since I started this book I had in my mind that it was written by Amanda Hocking so it was to be assured that plot twist were going to happen no matter what. Although I don't blame her and I really know that she does it to keep people entertained I never actually expected to  encounter some life changing plot twists ( when you read the book you will know why I said this). In the end I was shocked. I couldn't believe the book ended like this. I need to know what happens!
All through the book I was thinking one same thought. Who can I trust?! It had so much tension I couldn't stop changing the page hoping that I would find even the slightest hint of who could be the one behind it all.
One thing I am certain of is that Bryn Aven is so stubborn! I know that she has feelings for Ridley and everyone knows that but she doesn't want to admit it. All throughout the book I was hoping that she would say something and when she did it was too late to be with him.
I am completely in love with the chemistry between Kasper and Tilda and I just need to say they are such a lovely couple!

THE KANIN CHRONICLES
Rate: 5 stars out of 5

My ship? Bryn + Ridley = Brydley

Description
Bryn is a tracker, not only a tracker but one of the few girl trackers in the Kanin society. It doesn't really help that she is only half kanin in a society where everything has to be an exact way. When she appears to be in a mission to avenge his father and falling in love with a guy she is not supposed to all seems to go against planned

Spoilers ahead plus my thoughts on this

I totally ship those two! I read their first conversation and BANG!  I fell in love with their love!
At first I shipped Bryn with Konstantin and I still do but I want her to be with Ridley!!!
Konstantin doesn't seem like that bad of a guy and i will always have a soft spot for him no matter what.

I can't wait for Beidley(one of my favorite ship ever!!) to actually say what they really feel! They are getting on my nerves because I want them to be together already!

Since the beggining of the book it was full of action and I loved it!!!! It had everything a book needs.

I loved that characters from Switched appeared here and how they all fell into place!
I an still hoping that in the sequel Wendy and Loki appear and then i will be the happiest girl alive.
Ember brought the energy and help ease the tension since the moment she appeared!
I was soooo hooked up with this book that i read it IN ONE SITTING!! I would have totaly given it more stars if I could!!

I actually thought this book would go in a very different direction, it was full of action since page 1.

This book is a tearjerker guys so prepare yourselves with a box of kleenex.

Rate:3.5/5stars

I loved the character development and the way you notice Samantha become more and more mature. You noticed little by little that she understands what her actions caused!

What i didnt liked?

SPOILER ZONE!!!!!!🚫❗️❗️

What i liked?
Okay lets get somethings straight. From the moment Raffe walks into the scene i fell for him so congrats! Know you are added to the list of boyfriends i will never get. He is this sarcastic guy that will always get his way and can be the sweetest guy you'll meet or the demon inyour nightmares. Penryn's mom was a complete psycho which in my opinion i was grateful for so that she stayed away although she gave me the creeps! Susan Ee i have something very important to say, you write beautifully! Your descriptions were so vivid and alive for a few moments i believed them!

ELEANOR AND PARK BY RAINBOW ROWELL

Image result for eleanor and park

This is a YA contemporary novel that consists of the story in both main characters POV.

WGAT IS IT ABOUT: Park has never been in the middle of anything. This time he will try whatever to show Eleanor that he loves her.
Eleanor has never had a boyfriend or any of that type of relationship with any guy. She needs to learn to step out of her comfort zone and away from his stepfather to understand otherwise.

Rate:2.5/5 stars

Pros: Okay this book has an interesting story from a refreshing group of students, who are what we call shy or weird or anything like that. This means that it made me relate a lot with this characters, both Eleanor and Park.

Cons: I would have giving this book 5 stars if it wasn't that Eleanor was so frustrating! If she could have made the job of being a boyfriend easier for Park and would have been less of a seaweed brain I might have actually liked her. And okay I get it she had a rough childhood but come on!

The D.U.F.F. BY KODY KEPLINGER

Image result for the duff

This book was recently made into a fabulous movie! but if you read the book you would know that they have nothing in common! at. all.

RATE:3.5 stars

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
When Bianca hangs out with her two best friends, she doesn't notice what everyone else does. She is the duff(designated ugly fat friend). When the popular guy Wesley Rush tells her she is infuriated, meanwhile at home things aren't hearts and flowers. Her parents are divorcing and she doesn't know what to do so she asks Wesley for help.

Pros: This book shows you that sometimes life isn't perfect but either way you must keep going because (this may sound cliché so sorry if it does) There is always a rainbow after the rain so just hold on. This story talks about life now in school and stuff that most teenagers find interesting.

Cons: Even though it took a realistic turn I think that it should have been longer and with more in tell on Bianca's old boyfriend and on her friends because they talk about them in the beginning but have through it they completely disappear!

Like the movie was nothing like book and it was still fun I guess people will actually read it. Maybe not because of the story in the book but because of the story in the movie.

SO REMEMBER NEXT TIME YOU MAKE A BOOK ADAPTATION MOVIE MAKE IT LIKE THE BOOK.

Thank You!
