Goodreads Description:
Allie Munroe has only ever wanted to belong, maybe even be well liked. But even though she’s nice and smart and has a couple of friends, she’s still pretty much the invisible girl at school. So when the chance to work with her friends and some of the popular kids on an English project comes up, Allie jumps at the chance to be noticed. And her plan would have worked out just fine…if they hadn’t been sucked into a magical realm through a dusty old book of fairy tales in the middle of the library. Now, Allie and her classmates are stuck in Nerissette, a world where karma rules and your social status is determined by what you deserve. Which makes a misfit like Allie the Crown Princess, and her archrival the scullery maid. And the only way out is for Allie to rally and lead the people of Nerissette against the evil forces that threaten their very existence.

MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK:

My expectations for this book were extremely high due to the fact that the cover looked very appealing. I loved the idea of a character who in the normal world wasn't the most popular or anything become a queen! There are talking cats, giants, trolls, goblins, fairies, people who can turn into dragons, dryads, and mermaids! A fantasy novel with all the characteristics of a fairy tale.

The one thing that made me extremely confused was the fact that somethings were left without much explanation or emotion. Like for example, why didn't they talk more about Allie's mom? Throughout the story I could only think about the mom randomly appearing through the book or something. And I guess it had to do with the fact that it's a trilogy and something like that might appear on the next book but either way it got me very confused.
If it wasn't for those little confusing and left unexplained moments then I would have loved it because I am literally Allie( except I cannot swim even if my life depended on it... Life happens okay?!) I loved how it told you that those who seem very important right now won't even matter in other moments.

I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR THAT LITTLE FAIRY TALE WITH A TWIST.

QOTP: What do you have on your TBR (to be read) pile?
